About me

My name is Mariela Penkova and I am an artist by heart and vocation. I live and work in Sofia, Bulgaria. In my paintings I am constantly experimenting with different pigments, bases and color mixtures and new tools. I work with oil paints, acrylics and watercolors. I often use gold foil and different gems. In this way, the paintings transform my emotional states and impressions. Earth, Space, silence, light are constant sources of inspiration and love for me. If it is the same for you, if my soul has touched yours, then I have done my job very well. A lot of my paintings are a part of private collections in Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, Japan, Spain and The USA.
